Minute of Silence

On Wednesday 26 July 2006, UNMIS Juba staff observed a minute of silence, with UN flags across Sudan lowered to half mast, in honor and respect of 4 UN Peacekeepers killed in Lebanon. The ongoing Israeli attacks on Southern Lebanon saw what was perceived as a deliberate hit on a UN observation post, resulting in the deaths of 4 UNFIL Military Observers of Austrian, Canadian, Chinese and Finnish nationality.
